Recently on the news, it was said that there have been an agreement to have an office.
I strongly believe that We should not be thinking of making peace with the Taliban. Nor shall we be giving them an office because over time it will get worst. We are returning the prisoners who are very dangerous back to Afghanistan.
Afghan president Hamid Karzai is an Idiot and should be removed from presidency. We are not even sure if Karzai is on our side. For a long time Ahmad Shah Massoud was reaching out to countries for help to fight off the Taliban and now Karzai is pushing the help away. We are unsure of where Karzai alliance lies because he speaks with two different meaning. Karzai insults Americans one minute and calls them friends the next.
He claims that the foreigners are using them. I would like to know how United States is benefiting from the war in Afghanistan. America is spending a lot of money trying to get Afghan army trained, education and other needs to be independent. And most importantly they are losing solders that could be home with their family.
United States could have left earlier because they have gotten the man they were after. And if anyone asked, they could point out that the Afghans wanted them out.
Right now is not the time we should be backing off. Karzai cheated his way into office and now he is going to open the door for a bigger disaster. The Taliban's are weak and they are seeking help of the Pakistani Taliban's to fight against the US and NATO army. United States should stay in Afghanistan and help deliver the final blow to the Taliban's.
